East Pizzas has launched its first retail range featuring authentic 72-hour sourdough pizzas, bases and doughballs.
The range includes individual 250g pizza dough balls for consumers who want to stretch and shape their own bases, pre-stretched 12-inch pizza bases, and ready-to-cook topped pizzas in three flavours – Margherita, Pepperoni and Spicy.
The dough is made from three ingredients – flour, water and salt – and developed using the company’s natural fermentation and 72-hour proving process to deliver a light, flavour-packed foundation. Doughballs and bases are UPF-, additive- and preservative-free.
Edinburgh-based East Pizzas was founded in 2017 and has grown from a pizzeria into an e-commerce and foodservice brand producing 250,000 sourdough doughballs a month for trade and at-home customers.
In wholesalers from this month, the products are supplied fresh and can be refrigerated or frozen for up to three months. RSPs are £2 for a 250g sourdough dough ball, £3.50 for a 12-inch sourdough pizza base, and ready-topped pizzas range from £7.50–£9.
