Dr. Oetker puts the squeeze on vanilla

Dr Oetker Vanilla Bean Paste

Home baking manufacturer and brand Dr. Oetker is adding to its Vanilla range with a new Madagascan Vanilla Bean Paste.

Madagascan Vanilla Bean Paste comes in a squeezable tube, to make dispensing and measuring for recipes easier and mess-free for consumers. The paste has a high content of Madagascan vanilla extract, which adds an intense flavour to cakes and biscuits.

The product joins the Vanilla Extract, Vanilla Pods and Vanilla Grinder already offered by Dr. Oetker.

Vanilla in the form of paste is growing in popularity with sales up +7% YOY and now accounts for 10% of the Vanilla market.

Jan McKee, Executive Head of Marketing at Dr. Oetker UK, expects the paste to be extremely popular with home bakers.

She commented: “The Vanilla market is worth £15.4m and accounts for 78% of the overall Flavours market. Stocking the most popular flavour is essential to provide consumers with a core home baking offering, plus a range of formats will ensure all preferences and requirements are catered for.”

Dr. Oetker Madagascan Vanilla Bean Paste (100g) will be available at an rrp of £3.29 from September.
