Costa launches McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Frappé RTD

Costa Coffee McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Frappé

Costa Coffee has launched its first co-branded ready-to-drink product in Great Britain with the Costa Coffee McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Frappé.

Available now in Costa Coffee stores nationwide, the 250ml drink blends Costa’s coffee with orange and chocolate flavours inspired by McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes. Selected national retailers including Sainsbury’s and Boots are set to stock the product from mid-May, with additional listings planned later in the summer.

The launch comes as demand for ready-to-drink iced coffee continues to grow in the UK. Positioned as a limited-edition product, the Frappé targets everyday treat occasions and taps into consumer interest in chocolate and orange flavour combinations.

The product will remain available until the end of September as part of a wider push to capitalise on interest in seasonal and co-branded launches.

Supporting the launch, Costa will run a major integrated out of home, social and in-store campaign from 4 May. The activity builds on the brand refresh introduced last year, which delivered a 23% uplift in latest 12-week penetration versus the previous year. The campaign is expected to deliver 89 million impressions, reaching up to 50% of UK adults.
