Cornetto is expanding its ice cream range for summer with the launch of Cornetto Max, a more indulgent format designed to drive incremental sales and offer shoppers greater choice in the freezer.
Available now, Cornetto Max features multiple layers, including a chocolatey disk topping, a rich sauce centre and a combination of two ice cream flavours. The range launches in two variants. Cornetto Max Hazelnut & Chocolate combines chocolate and hazelnut ice creams with a salted hazelnut sauce and a thick chocolatey disk scattered with hazelnut pieces, while Cornetto Max Pistachio features pistachio and vanilla ice creams around a smooth pistachio sauce, topped with a white chocolatey disk and roasted pistachio pieces. Both include Cornetto’s signature chocolatey cone tip.
The launch is supported by a £6m media investment that includes a new TV advert, radio and out of home activity.
It coincides with a wider refresh across the Cornetto portfolio. The core range has been reformulated with a crunchier cone, an improved ice cream mix and a new structure that swirls flavours together throughout the cone for a more balanced taste. Cornetto is also introducing a new Soft Caramel flavour in its soft range, combining caramel and vanilla ice creams with salted caramel sauce in a chocolatey-lined wafer cone.
In addition, a new Chocolate flavour is being added to the core range, combining chocolate and vanilla ice creams topped with dark chocolate curls, finished with a chocolatey-lined wafer cone and Cornetto’s signature tip. The new variant will be available in a six-pack format.
Cornetto Max is available with a £3.99 RSP, while Cornetto Soft Caramel carries a £3.75 RSP and the refreshed core range sits at a £3.50 RSP.
