Chupa Chups is extending its Airheads range, with the introduction of a £1 pricemarked hanging bag.
Each pack contains bite-sized sweets in five sour flavours: Apple, Blueberry, Cherry, Lime and Orange.
Since launching in the UK last summer, the Airheads brand has grown by 21.7% over the past twelve months. With the bag market currently worth £611m and increasing at a rate of 2.3% year-on-year, the new bags should generate some impulse sales.
Mark Roberts, the Chupa Chups UK Trade Marketing Manager, said: “Research shows that PMP formats are some of the most popular in the industry. Last year 63% of retailers claimed they would stock more PMPs this year, and 76% said they’d be more likely to stock products that displayed the price on pack. We’ve listened to feedback, and evolved our NPD to ensure we’re delivering products that deliver time and time again for our retail partners and customers alike.”
