Chivas Regal has launched Crystalgold, a new clear spirit drink that reimagines Scotch whisky for modern drinkers.
Filtered to remove colour while retaining flavour, Crystalgold is made using a golden, oak-aged spirit that undergoes a bespoke filtration process that took Chivas Brothers three years to develop. The liquid is then blended with a small amount of new-make spirit (less than 0.1% by volume) before bottling. The result is a crystal-clear drink that retains the character of Scotch while offering a new visual and flavour experience.
Presented in a clear bottle with gold detailing, Crystalgold is positioned as a mixable spirit for early-evening occasions. The 40% ABV liquid is described as having aromas of apple pie, vanilla fudge and orange zest, with a taste profile featuring sweet red apples, juicy pears, cinnamon and ginger. It is designed to be served in cocktails.
The launch will be supported by a global campaign fronted by brand ambassador, racing driver Charles Leclerc.
Crystalgold (RSP £51) will be initially available from Amazon.
