Cheez‑It has been named Product of the Year 2026 in the Cheesy Crisps & Snacks category, capping a big first year in Britain for the brand.
The range launched in August 2024 and now offers four flavours: Double Cheese; Cheese & Chilli; Cheese, Sour Cream & Onion; and the most recent, Cheese & Smokey Bacon.
It hit £24m in value sales within 12 months, with more than 16.3m packs sold – roughly one pack every two seconds.
Already backed by a string of industry accolades, the POTY triumph is set to drive further momentum. Winners are chosen by 8,000 UK shoppers in the annual survey of product innovation, and on average POTY winners see sales climb by 10–15%; the logo has 81% recognition and is widely viewed as a shopper seal of approval.
Cheez‑It’s hero SKU, Double Cheese, has delivered nearly £13m in sales to date, with its bold flavour and crispy texture building on a star at the 2025 Great Taste Awards.
The brand plans to keep the pace through 2026 with dual‑branded activity that brings Pringles and Cheez‑It together around key occasions across the year.
