Candy Kittens has launched a new sweets range, Smittens, into the Tesco group as a lower-priced spin-off for everyday snacking.
The vegan-friendly range is available in Tesco stores and Booker depots and comes in three variants: The Strawberry Edit, The Sour Edit and The Blueberry Edit.
Packs are 130g with an RSP of £1.60, compared with Candy Kittens’ core pouches, which typically retail at £2.50 for 140g.
Smittens keeps the brand’s cat-head look but switches to larger pieces with a softer, foamy base. The Strawberry Edit blends strawberry with blackcurrant, raspberry and açaí, while the Blueberry Edit combines blueberry with white peach, raspberry and vanilla. The Sour Edit has a tropical profile, mixing mango, mandarin, passion fruit and blood orange.
