Premier Foods has added two limited-editions to its Cadbury Cakes squad to help retailers make the most of World Cup fever.
Available now, Cadbury Football Cakes and Cadbury Football Gateau carry themed packaging and a football emblem on each cake to drive differentiation from the core range.
Premier Foods says that the cakes lend themselves to secondary siting opportunities in-store, helping retailers drive additional sales at a time when people will be on the lookout for fun, football-themed products.
Carolyn Longcroft, Senior Brand Manager for Cadbury Cakes at Premier Foods, commented: “Cadbury Cakes is famed for its seasonal products which really help to drive category sales. We wanted to make sure we were giving retailers the chance to replicate this success over the summer period, particularly as the upcoming football tournament will give sports fans even more reason to get together. We’re confident that we’re kicking off the season the right way and theming some of our popular cakes will help drive engagement and sales.”
The Cadbury Football Cakes carry an RSP of £2 for four, while the Cadbury Gateau RSP is £3 (serves eight).
