Cadbury is adding a limited-edition Strawberries & Creme Frappe flavour to its Dairy Milk range, designed to drive incremental sales during the warmer months and tap into demand for chilled chocolate.
The 115g tablet blends Dairy Milk chocolate with a strawberry and creme frappe-style filling. The launch follows last summer’s Iced Latte variant, which also aimed to capitalise on shopper habits of chilling chocolate.
Research indicates that 69% of shoppers chill their chocolate during summer, while strawberry ranks as the second most popular seasonal flavour after caramel. The new line is intended to build on this behaviour and broaden appeal with a more indulgent, flavour-led offer.
The brand is rolling the product out as a price-marked pack format to support impulse purchases in convenience. Cadbury Dairy Milk Strawberries & Creme Frappe is available in a 115g £1.75 PMP alongside a standard 115g format with an RSP of £2.20.
The launch aims to help retailers drive sales through NPD, with 68.6% of retailers reporting that new products boost performance when stocked alongside core lines.
