Glasgow retailers, Natalie Lightfoot of Londis Solo Convenience and Nathalie Fullerton of One Stop Dumbarton Road, have been named as finalists for this year’s Raj Aggarwal Trophy, alongside Chloe Taylor-Green of Spar Western Downs in Stafford.
Organised by the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS), the trophy is awarded to retailers who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to community retailing over the last year in supporting their colleagues, customers and other retailers across the sector.
ACS chief executive, James Lowman, said: “We are delighted to be able to showcase some of the most impressive community retailing taking place across the UK. Natalie, Nathalie and Chloe’s commitment to giving back to their communities is exceptional and a great model for retailers who are not sure where to start on community engagement. We’re looking forward to celebrating all of the finalists at Heart of the Community in the Houses of Parliament in September.”
The winner will be announced by Gareth Thomas MP, Minister for Small Businesses at this year’s Heart of the Community Conference and Reception, taking place at the House of Commons’ Attlee Suite and Terrace Pavilion on the 2nd September.
Voting is open now, and will be live until the conclusion of the Heart of the Community Conference on 2nd September. You can find out more about the finalists and the work that they’ve been doing in their communities, and vote for your winner here.
