Indian food brand Aagrah Foods has introduced a vegan-friendly Butter Chicken Tarka Paste to its range of Indian cooking sauces and pastes.
The new cooking paste (RSP £3.75, 270g) combines a smooth, creamy tomato base with a balance of aromatic spices and subtle sweetness. The result, Aagrah says, is “an authentic, restaurant-quality dish that can be prepared at home in minutes”.
The launch comes as the UK ambient cooking sauce category continues to expand, valued at over £1bn and driven by a rising interest in world cuisine and premium at-home dining.
It follows the strong retail performance of Aagrah’s range of cooking pastes, with total sales up by more than 40% year-on-year.
Beyond its cooking sauces, Aagrah Foods offers a range of authentic Indian products, including chutneys, spice blends and marinades, and breads and snacks such as naan, poppadoms and an onion bhaji mix.
