Spar team raises £47,000 in Kilimanjaro charity climb

Mount Kilimanjaro

A team from CJ Lang led by Stores Director Jamie Buchanan is setting their sights on planting a Spar flag at the top of Kilimanjaro in a bid to raise funds for two Scottish charities, Maggies and Edinburgh Sick Kids. On 29th January, the team of Buchanan, IT Director Graham Murdoch, Susan Hutchison, an independent Spar retailer from Scone, and John Evans, will begin their ascent. Before setting off, they had raised almost £50,000.

Spar Scotland has been a great supporter of both charities for a number of years, and over the last five years the company has raised in excess of £70k for these great causes.
