Premier stores reach 3,300 mark

Premier has revealed that it recruited 330 new members during the last financial year, bringing the number of its stores in the UK to over 3,300.

This follows a relaunch in February which delivered new sales opportunities for its members, and saw the fascia and corporate imagery given a contemporary makeover. The symbol group has also started to implement what it has learned from its trial store in Sheffield.

Martin Swadling, Director of Premier, is pleased with the progress being made: “We are proud to be serving our 3,300 members and even more delighted that we have over 330 new independent retailers who have recognised that Premier will really help them drive their business forward.”

It was Manvir Singh’s store (pictured) that took the tally to 3,300. A delighted Manvir said: “I joined from another symbol group as I believe Premier offers me and my business new and better ways of selling more and making more profits. The promotional package is second to none, own-label products deliver fantastic quality and I have the added support of my local Booker branch, as well as deliveries. Although it’s early days, I know we’ve made the right choice with Premier.”
