Mars wins brownie points with new bar

Mars Choc Brownie

Mars Chocolate has created a new twist on its classic Mars bar with the Mars Choc Brownie, a combination of thick chocolate nougat and dark caramel, covered in Mars chocolate.

Mars Chocolate Brownie is available in single, four-pack multipack and four-pack snacksize multipack, as well as single and multipack PMPs, and will roll out from May 22.

Bep Dhaliwal, Trade Communications Manager, Mars Chocolate UK, commented: “We know that cakes and pastry snacking is the category most in growth amongst millennials, and by combining this trend with our iconic Mars Chocolate, we’re confident we’ve created an innovative product that can help boost singles sales across the grocery and convenience channels and drive category growth.

“Retailers should capitalise on the buzz of a new product launch and variants on blockbuster brands like Mars to maximise sales in store.”

Harris Aslam, Director of Eros Retail and SLR’s 2016 Retailer of the Year, said: “The excitement around new products is always a great way of increasing impulse purchases in-store, especially when they are variants on classic products. To maximise the effect of Mars Choc Brownie on sales, we’re ensuring it is sited next to other blockbuster brands within the confectionery category and multi-faced where possible.”

The new product will be supported by a range of POS and what Mars describes as “a comprehensive launch package”.
