Jameson targets younger consumers with RTDs

Jameson has unveiled a new range of ready to drink (RTD) cans, which are exclusively available to the UK.

Available in two variants, Classic Cola and Ginger & Lime, the cans have been launched to recruit younger consumers into the Irish whiskey category. Brand owner Pernod Ricard hopes the RTDs will drive incremental spirits sales of Jameson Original.

Magin Trewhella, Head of Marketing (Dark Spirits) at Pernod Ricard UK, commented: “The launch of Jameson RTD cans is an exciting move, allowing us to bring a younger audience into the Irish whiskey category. The RTD cans create a new experience from the number one Irish whiskey, whilst providing the recognisable smoothness that is distinctly Jameson.”

Jameson RTD cans (250ml, ABV 5%) will be available with an RRP of £1.90.
