Bottlegreen’s Sparkling Infusions tick all the trend boxes

SHS Drinks, producer of bottlegreen, is expanding its portfolio of premium sparkling pressés, cordials and mixers with the launch of bottlegreen Sparkling Infusions – a trio of sparkling waters infused with natural fruits or botanicals.

The three on-trend flavours are Refreshing Coconut; Raspberry & Pomegranate; and Delicate Elderflower.

Aimed at health-conscious consumers, each 250ml can contains less than 50 calories, lower sugar and no sweeteners.

The new additions are packaged in attractive, slim-line cans with a premium foil lid which will retail from around £1.49. All three flavours are available to impulse retailers in 12-can shrink-wrapped outers from this month (April).

The range has been developed to fill a gap in the ‘instant consumption’ soft drinks market and meet an increasing consumer demand for premium soft drinks that are lower in sugar, hydrating and enjoyable to drink in flavours that appeal to the adult palate. SHS recommends it is merchandised alongside sandwiches, salads and snacks within the lunch-to-go chiller.

The launch is backed by a support package which focuses on driving awareness and trial. An extensive sampling campaign at key, high-footfall events across the summer, promotional activity, point of purchase materials and a digital media campaign is planned.

Jo Sykes, Marketing Director at SHS Drinks, said a significant number of people are now rejecting soft drinks and defaulting to water because they aren’t satisfied with the alternatives currently on offer.

“What consumers have told us they want is a soft drink that is light and which tastes natural and great, and doesn’t have the hit of sugar,” Sykes added.

“With more people opting for healthier snacks and lighter options at lunchtime – salads are growing at nearly four times the rate of sandwiches – they don’t want to wash down their healthy food choice with a sweet, sugary tasting drink.”
