Ah, what a year it was…

Benromach 1973

It’s a distant memory now, but at the SLR Christmas party one of the office wags suggested that everyone chip-in to buy UTC a wee bottle of the old uisge beatha for Christmas. As everyone knows, he’s very partial to a wee dram.

But this wasn’t just any old bottle of whisky. No siree, this was a Benromach 1973 – the perfect gift, as 1973 was apparently the last time the auld yin bought a round.

Turns out a Benromach 1973 costs £1,395 though, so he got a bottle of Grouse as usual.
